Live Room /Collective setting
 
Playing a live room is always a different experience when you think about it many of the places your going to play are just not acoustic designed to have live performances so you need to be aware of your volume.This is where your technique will come into action,you don't need to play hard for your sound to project.You'll learn the methods and tricks on projection speed and rebound with out killing yourself by slamming and chocking the drums.Also using different sticks for different gigs will help control your sound and volume brushes,blast sticks,thin sticks or heavier ones depending on the situation will help you find the right volume according to the room your playing in.You must always remember that control always wins over volume and speed,it's control that will get you the call back for the gig every time.Also if your in a band that over rehearses keep in mind that this can be "dangerous" music is very much like conversation if you see the same people everyday you will run out of things to say this is also true in music and drumming.Music dictates life so don't get caught in a routine always change things up in your life and in your music,look to break patterns that keep you from moving forward this will wake you up and get you moving in the right direction and inspire you again.So take a break every now and then jam with other musicians go on vacation climb a mountain I guarantee you will have a lot to say to your bandmates and your drumming will speak for itself.live life and try new things make your life extraordinary and your drumming and music will follow.

Recording a drum video is a lot more work then I had thought but well worth the trouble.I enjoy learning and videomaking is a new challange..
